Ancanar Sitanar is the only son of Maelstrom Knight Captain Nemoran Sitanar, herald Consul of the Yumerian Empire. Ancanar suffered the lost of his father at an early age as a result of Nemoran’s personal sacrifice which thwarted an assassination attempt against the Emperor of Yumeria, Neptus Sitanar. After witnessing the selfless death of his only brother, the Emperor made it his sworn duty to protect and raise Ancanar. The Yumerian Emperor presided as his young nephew’s guardian and father figure. Under the patronage of his uncle Ancanar received the best education and military training, becoming an exceptionable scholar in the realms of architecture, philosophy and military tactics. Following the example of his father's compromised with the common good of Yumeria, Ancanar personally propelled the creation of cultural centers, economical markets and educational institutions throughout the empire. Ancanar's exceptionable loyalty towards Neptus Sitanar and the Sitanar imperial house would lead him to served as a Maelstrom Knight with incredible distinction, living up to his father heroic status. However his reputation reached legendary status after becoming the youngest and most decorated Maelstrom Knight Captain in the history of the knighthood order.

While Ancanar remain with his wife Ilura anxiously awaiting for the birth of their first born, an unparalleled event of cataclysmic proportions unfolded which consume everything he had build and cherished. What once was a thriving, advanced and vast civilization was unexpectedly swept away. Yet by some unknown miracle Ancanar was found unconscious in the waters of the Silamir river by a caravan of Silvintri merchants, who nursed him back to health. The Silvintri helped Ancanar coupe with the dire realization of being the only surviving member of the once mighty Sitanar Reef and quite possibly the last of the proud Yumerian race. As token of gratitude he adopted Silvintri culture and decided to remain among his new found brethren. The Silvintri honored by Ancanar’s decision crafted a completely new identity for him in order to ensure his personal safety. During the time he spent living at the Silvintri capital Ancanar began to chronicle the entire history of his former people under his Silvintri pseudonym, ultimately creating the most illustrious and prominent documents which laid the foundation of the “Codex Oceanis”. At the same time he perfected his warrior skills, rising quickly through the Silvintri military ranks and even earning the title of chief architect. As the result of this important aristocratic placement, Ancanar toke Silvintri culture to new levels of splendor, majesty and sophistication.

When Ancanar learned about the first expedition commissioned by the Aseti Emperor, Natorus Asentium to explore the vortex created by the Weapon of Phyrras, he had already achieved incredible prominence within Silvintri and Aseti societies. Ancanar used the political influence of his friends within the Silvintri aristocracy to ensure a royal audience with Natorus Asentium at his capital city of Asetias, in the hope of learning more about the event that cause the demise of his race. Ancanar managed to win the Emperor's favor at the meeting, whom personally commission Ancanar as lead curator of the Yumerian Empire excavations. Once Ancanar began his imperial commission, he completely baffled the Asetian’s explorers and scholars with his unique insight of the mighty Yumerian culture. This intimate knowledge secured him the position of the expedition official scribe. Within this period Ancanar's exhaustive research led to uncover the final disturbing report the Yumerian Emerald Protectors send to his uncle Neptus Sitanar, this particular discovery confirm his suspicions of who were the two main conspirators responsible for the detonation of the Weapon of Phyrras during the Battle of the Plains of Phyrras. After resigning his commission Ancanar venture to Phyrra with the sole purpose of enhancing his strength and gathering more information within the arena circuit that would aid him in the search for the Machan High Priest of the Ordilum Sacrantas and the infamous Arcanum Vampira. He will personally sentence those responsible for shattering his world and destroying everything he held sacred. Determine to release the full power of his immortal wraith.
