 | "An early folk legend, originating among the Gostic tribes, tells of a mountain wizard named Klas and a Kthalan troll named Senter. The story states that the land of northern Gostia was terrorized by the monster Senter who at night would sneak down chimneys and through opened windows to kidnap and kill children. Implored by the terrorized families of the region, Klas sought out the troll and tricked it with magical chains - Senter was trapped and forced to obey the wizard's orders. Klas ordered him to go to each house and make amends, by delivering gifts to children. Klas made the troll fulfill this task every year at the winter solstice. Reformed under Klas's command, Senter recruited elves, men, and faeries into helping him, forming the Order of the Northern Star. Senter has been known as Senter Klas the Gift Giver ever since."

Visit Senter Klas once daily to see if you've been "naughty or nice". You may receive a gift... or you may feel your pockets a little lighter. (Senter steals gold and tokens if you've been naughty.) Senter Klas is still around, but he may be taken out at any time. Senter is a good place to go for lower level armor and daggers. You can beat him at a really early level by skirmishing, because he has weak armor. Also, Senter Klas is listed as High Path of the Mage in the arena, but searching for Mages does not list him as an NPC. |
2008 Winter Festival
The 2008 Duels Winter Festival allowed duelists to get 2 new pets with 2 new quests. Here are the characters in those quests.

The League of Decadence were known as much for subterfuge and assassination as their Trollressive confectionary skill. Poisoned pastries, man-eating nutcrackers and vicious, homicidal gingerbread men were used to dispatch enemies of the league, under the guise of friendly gifts. It is only fitting then, that the horrid sweet chefs would attempt to disguise themselves as their greatest foe, the kind Wizard Klas.
Defeating these characters in the first quest gives you a polar bear cub (+2 strength).
The next quest makes you fight Smilin' Joe and then gives you Smilin' Joe (a snowman) as a pet.(+2 pereption)
