[edit] Basics of Power

Your avatar's power determines what equipment he or she can wear.

Power is divided into two interrelated components: Current Power and Max Power. Power is a critical attribute in that it places limitations on the use of higher-level equipment. It also affects the makeup of your Loadouts, since they can not exceed your Max Power rating.

  • Max Power is derived from your current Level.
  • Current Power is the sum of the power cost of all the equipment in your current Loadout.
  • Generally, you're Current Power cannot exceed you're Max Power. Certain Skills can, however, reduce the cost of certain equipment, thereby allowing you're current power to be slightly higher than you're Max Power.

[edit] Maximum Power per Level

As you level up, your maximum power level increases and thus your ability to equip weapons and armour. Your maximum power level per level is as follows:

  • Level 1 - 25
  • Level 2 - 30
  • Level 3 - 35

[edit] Simple Example of Power:

Let’s say that your current duelist's Max Power is 20. The Sword of Storms you just picked up has a power requirement of 22. If your character is equipped with the sword, Max Power will be exceeded. However, if you have Sword Specialization, which reduces any sword’s power rating by 10%, the Sword of Storms will be rated at 20 and can now be used.

[edit] Avatar Power

As your avatar increases in Level so does his power. As your Power goes up, you can equip better or more Armor and Weapons. Equipping new armor and weapons will allow you to vary up your defensive styles, so don't underestimate a high power.

[edit] Equipment Power

Every item in Duels has a Power Rating. Items can only be equipped if you have equal or greater available Power. Sometimes equipment's power may go down because of a skill, though this change is only seen in the loadout page. The change percentage in Power depends on how many points you have put into that skill. So you may have a different amount decreased because you have more points on it.

[edit] Skill Augmentations

Certain skills, listed below, have the ability to change the amount of power required to wield a certain weapon.
