[edit] Intro:

You return from the Dueling Arena, soaked in the sweat and glow of victory. As you approach your quarters, you can hear a faint rustling on the other side of the door, followed by a deep, resounding "thunk" and muffled, high-pitched cursing.

You open the door. The room appears empty, but furniture has been tossed and smashed, while your collected armor and weapons are strewn about the floor.

And your bunk isn't touching the ground.

The legs appear to be hovering several inches above the floor and the entire thing is moving, ever so slightly up and down, as if something big and breathing were doing a very poor job of hiding beneath it.

You approach, weapon drawn as the bunk erupts skyward and you are confronted by the massive, yellow and be-crowned bulk of King Dawn, the Arena Promoter. He grabs you by the shoulders and swaddles you in a funk of body sweat and meat-scented breath.

"You have to help! They're after The King!"

Safe Harbor

The King lets go of your shoulders and takes a moment to compose himself.

"The King apologizes for his unsightly distress. Some very, very bad people are after The King, due of certain misunderstandings, regarding certain events and certain accusations that are completely unfounded."

"The point is, King Dawn's been watching you in the Arena. You seem capable and so, The King wants to offer you..."

There is a loud knock at your door.

"That's them... Defend The King and he will make sure that you are rewarded with ample gold and a chance to make even more."

A gruff voice bellows from the other side of the door.

"Whoever's in there, we just want the King. Give him up and we got no problem."
