The coin of the realm in Phyrra is gold – the only universal currency. It is a rare commodity now in duels with the subtraction of gold as a reward from winning duels. Gold can be transferred directly to other players as part of the trading process; however, fees are charged for this service. Noble and patron members may transfer gold (in addition to items and scrolls) to any of their avatars without charge(this transfer is done in increments of 500 and can only be transferred to avatars on the account with the member). Your avatar's gold is shown in the left hand pane of every page.
Gold can be gained in the following ways:
- Redemption of Challenge Coins (however the exchange rate is not good, not a recommended source for acquiring gold);
- Sometimes by earning Badges;
- Selling your items in the market. Note - if you sell to another player, there is a 15% fee of the purchase price. There is no fee to sell to the vendor;
- Winning certain tournaments;
- Winning duels;
- Packs contain a random amount of gold;
- Trading equipment to other players for gold;
- Members get gold stipends every month.
