Complete Bring the King Down
[edit] Intro
You agree to assist the Shindaan.
"Glad to hear it. King Dawn keeps box seats at the Main Arena. Go there and tell him you are looking for work. We know that he knows who you are. Even if you have a history with the King, he is quick to forget when gold is involved."
"One last thing. We want you carry this." The orc produces a small piece of golden thread. As the Orc speaks, the thread glows faintly and you can hear his voice, echoing from a matching gold colored stone, pulsing unobtrusively on a nearby slab.
"This piece of enchanted wire shares a spirit link with this stone. Anything that is said near you will be transmitted here. Just don't let the King see it."
[edit] Act I - Avenge Tiddles
You approach the King in his private Arena box and ask him for work. The King greets this request with a broad grin and a meaty hug.
"The King was waiting for you to come around," the throaty, high pitched whisper raises the hair on your neck. As the King pats your back, you realize that he is searching for the golden wire.
"Right. Lets get down to brass biscuits. Lin Ravenscar has a deep, abiding hatred for our feathered friends. The King doesn't know why. Frankly, the King doesn't care. Ravenscar killed The King's favorite Blue Jay, Twiddles, and now she needs to pay. Head to the Arena and take her down. She is ranked at Arena level 21, so be sure you have what it takes before you challenge her."

[edit] Rewards

[edit] Act 2 - The Treachery of Glowing Pockets
The King stares at you, brow arched, for a long moment.
"Why's your pocket glowing, friend?"
...
"Sorry, personal question. The King understands. Say no more." The King treats you to a big, inexplicable wink and continues.
"The King is well known as a patron of the Arts. While it's tragic that a genius like Dendrick Galstaf is having trouble making ends meet, he owes The King paint money and The King needs you to send him a message. When you have finished putting him in the hospice, tell The King and you will be compensated."

Broken Staff You find the King staring intently out of his window.
"The Shindaan in that cleaning cart have been sitting there, staring up at me all day... They must not pay those boys enough if they're looking for extra work cleaning offices..."
"Ah! There you are. Merick Edros is obsessed with his staff. Can't stop talking about it. Plus he has been using it to beat down members of The King's court. Go break his staff for him. He is level 23, so be sure you're ready."

- Find and defeat Merick Edros (Level 23)
[edit] Rewards
- 200 XP

[edit] Act 4 - A Personal Disagreement
As you approach King Dawn, the wire in your pocket emits a high pitched peal of static and the thick voice of a Shindaan Guardian echoes throughout the room.
"AGENT! AGENT COME IN! WE ALMOST HAVE ENOUGH EVIDENCE TO TAKE THE KING DOWN! JUST TAKE A FEW MORE MISSIONS FROM HIM."
The King, startled by the torrent of traitorous noise, stares at you wide eyed.
"What was that? Sounds like a king is in trouble somewhere... Maybe the King of Aseti? Wait a minute... Do they even have a king? Probably not, the savages." The King shrugs and settles his bulk.
"Anyway, The King wants you to go beat down Vladimar the Bloody. It's a personal disagreement."

- Find and defeat Vladimar the Bloody (Level 24)
[edit] Rewards
- 200 XP

- Find and defeat Rhakk Torrk (level 25)

[edit] Act 6 - The Final Piece
"I think we got the wrong guy. The Shindaan are still following The King. They seem to have known about every mission you were on... Nobody else. It just doesn't make any sense. Anyway, we might as well take down Don Aquila Rodriguez. Who knows? It could be him."
As you exit the King's pad, another blast of static blares from the wire.
"AGENT! AGENT COME IN! THIS IS THE FINAL PIECE OF EVIDENCE WE NEED! MEET US AT SHINDAAN HEADQUARTERS WHEN YOU ARE FINISHED AND WE WILL PREPARE TO ARREST KING DAWN!"
You look back and see the King staring at you while thoughtfully rubbing his chins.

- Find and defeat Don Aquila Rodriguez (Level 25)
[edit] Rewards
- 200 XP
- 50 gold
[edit] Conclusion
You follow the Shindaan as they prepare to storm King Dawn's flat. The door falls with a splintery crash and you find yourself staring at an abandoned room. A note on the floor reads:
"The King may never know who betrayed him, but when he finds out, they're dead! - XOXOXO - KD"
