The sounds of battle pour from the House of Healing. You are standing outside with Doctor Fizroy and dead Edgar Crawls, watching a stream of heavily armed Shindaan Guardians pour into the Hospice. Edgar sets off away from the building.
"Before I was taken here, I woke up in the Necropolis. We will find answers there."

Complete Chapter 4 - I, Reanimated
[edit] Act 1 - Twin Guardians
The Necropolis is a low, black pentagon, just south of the Arena Training Ground. You approach the front entrance: a pair of enormous obsidian doors, framed by human skeletons with grinning wolves' heads. You reach the door to find that there are no handles, knobs, or any other means of opening them. With a shrug, you knock.
"What business have you with the dead?" Twin voices, like satin dragged over tombstones resonate from above you, while fine black dust drizzles over your head and shoulders. You look up to find the stone wolves' heads glaring at you from above the door.
"The dead are sleeping," says the first head. "Not to be disturbed," adds the second. Edgar approaches the statues and bows slightly.
"No disrespect, but we have woken up."
The wolves regard Edgar for a moment before pulling their skeletal limbs free of the doorway, leaning over and sniffing him. Great puffs of charcoal black emanate from their cavernous nostrils.
"I know you," says the first wolf. "Been here before," adds the second.
The stone wolves stand, turn their backs and whisper to each other, pausing occasionally to look back at you, then resuming their animated council. Finally, without a word, they crawl back to their places on either side of the doors, which slide open in a wide, gravelly arc.

[edit] Act 2 - Mark of the Order
As the Grave Robber falls, the robed Kahn kneels and pulls back the Robber's sleeve, revealing an intricate hawk design, branded into the matted fur on his forearm. As the robed Kahn stands, you catch a glimpse of a similar brand in the newcomer's billowy sleeve. Fizroy apparently notices too, as you see him fingering his belt of tiny knives out of the corner of your eye.
The Kahn removes his hood and looks at each you in turn. When his gaze reaches Edgar, his yellow eyes narrow for a moment. He walks toward your reanimated companion. The Doctor draws a blade, but then sheathes it after a look from Edgar. The Kahn stands in front of Edgar, looks him in the eye, then takes his ruined face in his soft, furry paws. Tears well up in the Kahn's yellow eyes and he embraces the corpse softly.
"I am so sorry, my child," the Kahn whispers. "This curse was never meant for you."
Standing there, in the arms of this giant cat, Edgar looks around for a moment,an uncomfortable expression on the remainder of his face.
"Do I, um, know you?"
"Not me, personally, no. But, you are the tragic, beautiful work of my order." As the Kahn speaks, you start to have the uncomfortable feeling of being watched.
"To submit to Essence Mummification is the greatest sacrifice that a Missionary of Qa can make. To go on existing in a state of Undeath, with no chance of escape, this is not a pact that one should be tricked into." From somewhere deeper within the Necropolis, you hear what could be a single echoing footstep.
"Who are you?" Edgar asks. Before the Kahn can answer, Fizroy draws his knife.
"Guys... I hate to be the one to interrupt this touching and... frankly, really weird family moment, but...

[edit] Act 3 - Fizroy's Fate
Kilgar and his new found followers have been downed again. Edgar starts off toward the entrance. "We need to get out before they revive again." You and the unnamed Kahn fall in behind Edgar, when Fizroy coughs from the dark end of the room.
"Um... Guys..." You look back at Fizroy. He is standing with a frozen, terrified expression. Two immobile reanimated are clinging to his leg, while a floor filled with corpses lies between he and the rest of the group. Slowly, he lifts his leg. The dead hand around his ankle loosens its grip and falls to the ground with a thud. Carefully, he lifts his other foot. And that is when you notice Kilgar, standing just to Fizroy's right. With a lopsided grin, he raises his hand. The corpses at Fizroy's feet grab hold and leap to their feet, knocking the Doctor to the ground. As the rest of the corpses get to their feet, they run deeper into the Necropolis, dragging the screaming Fizroy after them.

With the Reanimated defeated, the halls of the Necropolis are silent. You cannot hear the screams or the footfalls. Fizroy is gone, pulled deep below the ground, surrounding by the dead, both restful and waking.
