During the wars that racked the Makanis world after the sundering of Yumeria, the surviving imperial frontier provinces of the mainland vied for control over most of western Makanis. Out of these conflicts arose the kingdom of Asquilia from which the Felshian Empire would later grow. The Crown of Asquilia, the royal weapon of Asquilian kings, remains a Felshian symbol of power.
